About Me

My photo
I've been an artist my whole life and have had so many exciting art related jobs, which makes me kinda of a jack of a bunch of trades. I'm also college grad with a BFA and went to the High School of Performing & Visual Arts here in Houston. Visit my shop at Etsy and I promise you'll most likely receive a Smile to take with you! I decided to mention that about 10 years ago I was on chemo for 2 years. The chemo worked, but left me with other Heath issues, such as a case of Fibro which left me with having to get disability.Sad news, since I had a great career, that I can not work anymore. With my Faith and determination, I am determined to still do my art. My art gives me inspiration and thank you God! Oh, and please follow my blog! I'd love to have yall join me in my show and tells and also would love to hear what yall have to show and tell!:)

Saturday's Art Festival!

Well, I'm still scurrying around trying to catch up on things. Hey my Christmas tree is up and so are my lights, but I still have to decorate everything. There are still some fun projects to work on, some of my Christmas cards are mailed, I am still working on the Cat Blog. I had done a lot of work on that and then started over again so I could play some music on the videos. There is one kinda long video and the song plays a few times(they only allow 1 song) and 2 shorter videos covering all 3 different cat blogs, but many cats, including my cat Kenzie showing off Peggy's blankets from http://peggyskittyblankies.blogspot.com/2009/11/kitty-blankets-available-now.html
I have worked with Photostory and you can play as many songs as you want and also get your music from I Tunes or your own music, but I am finding it very difficult to find any of these kind of story slide shows you can use that will give you an URL. Oh well, you do the best with what you have I suppose!
I wanted to show yall a few pics from the 1st Saturday Art Market that I did with Ginnie again. It was freezing that day, but everyone was so festive with their decorations and carolers. Some Hot Apple Cider and cookies, a couple of great musicians. I think everyone had a great time! Even the animals that were there had fun! But boy was my fibro raring up! I felt like the tin man in the Wizard of Oz that needed to be oiled. The fun distracted me, but to tell yall the truth, I really didn't feel so good physically.
Here are just a very few pics of our tent!

Below is a wonderful display of Ginnie's jewelry work!

Ok, this doesn't have anything to do with anything, except to talk about the cold weather here, well at least it's cold for us!...Below is Kenzie on the very edge of the bed trying to get as close to the heater as she can. One move and off the bed she will go! But she is holding on for dear life! :) At this very moment she is in my lap. I guess I'm the warmest thing in my apartment! Eventually she will be cuddling inside one of Peggy's blankets.

I will try to post again sometime soon, but for now I'm off to working on the Cat blog article. I still am looking forward to settling down and relaxing and visiting yall's blogs again! I think we all are very busy at this time of year though, right?
Have a fabulous day!
Linda :)

I miss my little white kitty, she had two different colored eyes and couldn't hear a lick. The first cat I ever owned that when I opened a can she didn't come running hoping for tunafish, lol. Love your little cutie!! Hope your enjoying the Holiday Season!!

  3. We agree - we are all very busy this time of year. And we are making it more busy - we added a new group to our things to do (we decided to start a club for all the naughty kitties out there - just for fun and to celebrate the naughty). I love how your booth looks - I dont think we have any kind of art market around here (suburbs can be so boring). It looks like a cool place to visit!

  6. Looks like a great art fair! We get quite a few really nice ones in the summer here.

But I have to say... You don't know the meaning of cold!!! The temperatures have been hovering around 5 degrees with wind chills way below zero. BRRRRRRRRRR!!! Some days there just aren't enough layers to dress in!

Have a great (and warm) day!
